Being a huge fan of Marillion, since the moment h and Pete announced that they would be playing at Rockefeller, Oslo on 23/6/2007, at the listening party of their upcoming album back in February I've been looking forward to this event.
After attending the vorspiel featuring Misplaced Neighbourhood at John Dee, Gazpacho made a great performance upstairs at Rockefeller. Although it had been raining like hell the whole day (not that it would matter anyways) when Marillion entered the stage to the opening beats of Splintering Heart there was no doubt in my mind. This truly was going to be something to remember. The band was joyful and happy and did what they do best - entertained their audience in a great way. Except for some jerk calling for Kayleigh throughout the entire show, this was a perfect night.
The setlist:
Splintering Heart
The Other Half
You're Gone
Thankyou Whoever You Are
Afraid Of Sunlight
Fantastic Place
Most Toys
Somewhere Else
Waiting To Happen
Marbles III
The Damage
Between You and Me
King
Separated Out
